Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the outspoken leader of Sephardic Jews in Israel died Monday. Cause of death was not released.

The 93-year-old rabbi, who was the spiritual head of the ultra-Orthodox Shas party, had been hospitalized several times over the last few months with a host of medical problems, including kidney failure, heart problems, blood pressure problems and infections, Haaretz reported. Continue reading...
