Maybe you're not a big baseball fan. Maybe you don't much care about our national pastime. Maybe you think the game is too slow. Too boring. Too dull.
And maybe, as a result, you rarely if ever pay attention to the Major League Baseball playoffs.
I get it. I mean, really, I do. Baseball is an acquired taste, and in a country that is ever-more used to instant gratification, it's not for everybody.
But I will say this much: Even if you don't love baseball, you might want to pay attention to the playoffs this year. And there's one reason why: The long-suffering Pittsburgh Pirates have actually made the postseason.
