In this roundup, we hope to pack the past seven days of our site's breaking news into a tote of travel-sized tidbits, small enough to fit any overhead bin.

This week, our friends in North Korea got their first luxury ski resort. We wish we could say we had plans to visit, but something about a former lime grove blasted with fake snow just doesn't scream "summer getaway."

Maybe we'll hit the Surin Islands instead. At least the water there isn't fake.

In other news, did you know you can take road trips in North America? Yes, it's true. There are precisely six "unforgettable" road trips on this continent, and we intend to "not forget" every single one of them.

Disney lovers were atwitter this week when the company released a video of their soon-to-be opened Seven Dwarfs ride. Like they released a video of the whole ride. In its entirety. So now we don't even have to buy a ticket to Disney World anymore. Because it's all on video. WHAT IS SOCIETY COMING TO?!

Breaking news: Europe is charming.

Even more breaking news: Hawaii is magical.

Even MORE breaking news: There is beer in Portland.

But really-- if you're going on a trip this weekend, may we suggest that you bring jewelry to give to your flight attendant, because apparently they like that stuff. Then again, they also don't wash the blankets they're giving you. So maybe you can skip the jewelry.
