In this roundup, we hope to pack the past seven days of our site’s breaking news into a tote of travel-sized tidbits, small enough to fit any overhead bin.
At the start of the week, we celebrated the gringo holiday of Cinco de Mayo in the most gringo way possible: not with tequila, but with good beer and all the cities where you might not expect to find it. Who knew they do brew in Kalamazoo? (Say that nine times fast… after a few beers.)
The buzz continued when we dubbed Colorado the most “magical” state in the nation, for a number of reasons. Don’t worry--marijuana doesn’t kick in 'til halfway down the list.
While they might give weed its own shops in Colorado, liquor still doesn’t get its own aisle at the grocery. And that's just one of many reason to stay in California.
Sufficiently well-versed in intoxicants, we next headed to Scotland. "Reasons to visit” this nation include a big bridge and some art exhibits.
Can you tell we’re a little “meh?”
Indeed, it’s often hard to find room in our hearts for so many “magical,” “amazing,” “life-changing” places. So we made a list of places that we don’t love. Because honesty is the best policy... especially when you’re drinking beer from Kalamazoo.
All alcohol aside, America’s happiest states seem to be the prettiest. Take Alaska for example, and have a great weekend, travelers!
