How good is this month's Top 10? So good you can grind it, blend it, puree it and feed it to a baby. But I don't recommend that. Why? Because then you'd be missing out on all the raw goodness contained in October's Top 10 New Rap Albums.

October Releases You Should Know About

For classic rock fans, it's like a reunion with some longtime pals. Artists on the list of new studio releases include Paul McCartney, Joan Jett, Leslie West, and Black Oak Arkansas. A host of veterans are represented in live performance releases, including Deep Purple, Jimmy Page, and Humble Pie.

New Blues CDs: October 2013

The labels have begun winding down their release schedule moving towards the lean holiday months of November and December, but that doesn't mean that there's no good music to be found in October! The month boasts a wealth of new blues and blues-rock tunes from talents like Anders Osborne, Harrison Kennedy, Leslie West, and Seasick Steve, among others, as well as archive releases from Ten Years After and Robin Trower.

Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger - 'Let Me Go'

For both Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, it looks like their recent marriage may be a positive for their fans. "Let Me Go," a duet between the pair, is a pleasing love ballad. Their voices blend well in a song that soars in classic power ballad fashion. Particularly beautiful is the piano led outro that winds through a ghostly sounding reprise sung by Avril Lavigne
