Charley Marcuse.. Opening Day.. Agema's Risky Lifestyle.. MLK Remembered..
April 5, 2013 My Detroit is a series of Q&A profiles with our favorite denizens in and around the D. Hot dog vending isn't for the faint of heart or the shy of speech. Few in Detroit understand this better than Charley Marcuse, better known as Comerica Park's "Singing Hot Dog Man." Marcuse has been slinging dogs for 15 seasons and singing his operatic hot dog chants almost as long. In addition to his hardcore hawking skills, he's also an entrepreneur and a dapper dresser. Oh, and he also appeared on Good Morning America several years ago for a his role in a controversy related to his unique approach to selling dogs. In honor of Tigers' Opening Day, The Huffington Post caught up with him for a Q&A session that we hope sticks with you like mustard on a ball park hot dog.
